THE CHANNEL 103 GREAT DOG WALK
A big thank you to everyone who took part in the fourth Channel 103 Great Dog Walk on Sunday 2nd November 2008. Despite the wet and windy weather, the event was well attended and supported by many Islanders and their canine friends. Participants were given a dog walking kit specially prepared by one of the sponsors, Hills Science Plan, and had the opportunity to enjoy mince pies at the half way station, where there was also water available for the dogs and doggy biscuits.
Many thanks to everyone who attended and a big "thank you" to Channel 103 for their help in promoting the event, to the sponsors, The Pet Cabin and Hills Science Plan, and to the JSPCA staff and all of the walkers and their dogs who attended and for their generosity - your support is very much appreciated, for which the JSPCA Animals' Shelter is extremely grateful. £859.40 was raised on the day and this kind and generous show of support will ultimately enable the JSPCA Animals' Shelter to continue its work caring for the injured, stray and unwanted animals on the Island.
