PRESS RELEASE
October 2006
THE CHANNEL 103 GREAT DOG WALK
After the huge success of last year's Channel 103 dog walking event, Channel 103 is again helping the JSPCA Animals' Shelter raise much needed funds by hosting a second "Channel 103 Great Dog Walk" on Sunday 5th November 2006.
Channel 103 are again hosting a dog walk, which will begin at 11am on Sunday 5th November and will involve walking on the beach from the first lay-by at West Park to Bel Royal and then back again. Anyone wishing to join in this fun event will be asked to donate a minimum of £3.50 per family, all the proceeds of which will go to the JSPCA Animals' Shelter, therefore supporting the Shelter and enabling it to continue its work caring for the injured, stray and unwanted animals on the Island.
There will also be the opportunity to meet and greet the JSPCA Animals' Shelter dogs looking for new homes, all of which will be easily recognisable by their JSPCA bandanas.
If you do not have a dog, but would still like to get involved, then come along on the day and you might even have the opportunity to walk one of the JSPCA Animals' Shelter dogs looking for a new home.
Remember to bring with you your donation, your walking shoes or boots, a lead with your dog, water for your dog and, of course, a pooper scooper.
If you would like to attend, please meet in the car park at the first lay-by at West Park on Victoria Avenue at 10.30am, as the walk is scheduled to start at 11.00am. For more information, please contact either Robbie Donnelly at Channel 103FM on tel: 888103 or the JSPCA Animals' Shelter, tel: 724331.
