Children's Workshops for the summer holidays:

• Dog workshop - Thursday August 7th 2003

• Cat workshop - Friday August 8th 2003

• Small Animal workshop - Wednesday August 20th 2003

• Mini Beast workshop - Tuesday August 12th 2003

• Mini Beast workshop - Friday August 29th 2003

These workshops are for children aged 7 - 12 years of age.  Please contact Bob Vincent, Education Officer, at the JSPCA Animals' Shelter as soon as possible to book a place on these workshops as space is limited.

These workshops have been carefully crafted to support the curriculum in schools.  They are designed to be as practically based as possible and can be adapted for all age groups.  For example, the popular 'mini beast' workshops incorporate the JSPCA Animals' Shelter Nature Trail, which is located behind the Education Centre and is a haven for local species of plants and wildlife, making it an ideal environment for the teaching about local ‘flora and fauna’.
