JSPCA ANIMALS' SHELTER GIVES UK CATS A HELPING HAND
Working
alongside the feline welfare charity, Cats Protection League (CPL), the
JSPCA Animals’ Shelter has arranged for ten cats to be transported to
Jersey, where new loving homes are to be found for them.
The
CPL can have up to 7000 cats in their care at any one time throughout the
CPL rescue homes in the UK. The
help that the JSPCA Animals’ Shelter has offered in finding suitable new
homes for these ten cats has been gratefully received by the CPL,
especially at this time of year, nearing the Christmas and the New Year
period, when often the rescue centres become very busy with an influx of
unwanted animals.
The
ten cats are now available for re-homing from the JSPCA Animals’ Shelter
and have been fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and have received a
thorough veterinary health check.
The
numerous of unwanted and abandoned cats and kittens that the CPL helps each
year highlights the need to promote responsible pet ownership, including
the routine neutering of cats, the provision of appropriate veterinary
care, as well as arranging for animals to be properly cared for whilst the
owner is away from home or at work.
Anyone
interested in the work of the JSPCA Animals’ Shelter or the Shelter’s
re-homing policies should contact the JSPCA reception.
