JSPCA Animals' Shelter response to recent media coverage

The JSPCA is aware of comments made on BBC Radio Jersey. Radio Jersey’s report contained inaccuracies which is regretful.

Miss Sindy Boleat was previously a volunteer fundraiser at the JSPCA. She has made a series of allegations against the JSPCA.

The JSPCA Committee has adopted a thorough and appropriate process to review these allegations. This has included internal interviews, taking legal advice and the appointment of Roger Bignell, the ex registrar of Companies at JFSC, to undertake an independent review. Mr Bignell’s report is expected later this month. The JSPCA thanks Mr Bignell for his time and effort in this respect.

The JSPCA Committee will fully consider Mr Bignell’s report and take whatever remedial action(s), if any, are deemed necessary. It would be entirely improper to prejudge the findings of Mr Bignell’s report. No further comment will be made until Mr Bignell’s report is fully considered.
