JSPCA PRESS RELEASE

November 2006

JSPCA OPEN DAY!

On Sunday 19th November 2006, the JSPCA Animals' Shelter held its annual Open Day at its site on St Saviours Road, St Helier.  It was a glorious sunny winter's day, which saw many people pop along and visit the Animals' Shelter and its large number and variety of animals looking for new homes.

On first entering the Animals' Shelter, visitors walked through the veterinary foster animal clinic and could see the Animals' Shelter operating theatre, where xrays were on display of previous patients at the Clinic:

In front of the dedicated JSPCA Oiled Bird Unit, information about oiled birds and how they are managed once they arrive at the Animals' Shelter for treatment and rehabilitation was readily available for members of the public to browse:

Visitors had the opportunity to browse the JSPCA Animals' Shelter affiliate stalls, the FOTAS stall and, of course, the JSPCA stall:

- JSPCA affiliates

Visitors were also given the opportunity to test their nature and wildlife knowledge whilst enjoying the quiet and tranquillity of the JSPCA Nature Trail:

Many thanks to everyone who visited the Animals' Shelter and to all our stall holders, staff and volunteers for making the day such a success.
